The shelter is an oasis for clergy to come for confidential counseling.  Those that are in ministry often are wounded.  Pastors, teachers and leaders in ministry carry the burdens of others, often neglecting their own needs.  It is designed to provide a place of reconciliation and restoration.

This neglect often leaves the man or woman serving in ministry not able to minister at full capacity for years because of issues that are left unattended.  Ministers and leaders are often too embarrassed to admit their need to receive help because they are constantly giving.  Society at large has placed high expectations upon them, forgetting their humanism, placing them in jeopardy.  Because of these expectations they are often bound for years, never allowing themselves the normal process of grieving the hurts of life and the ministry.
